Joey Lauren Adams is my celebrity for today because of her performance in Kevin Smith’s Chasing Amy. She had a funny and memorable cameo in Mallrats, as well, prior to starring in Chasing Amy. Her screen presence and chemistry with Ben Affleck (before he was rich and cocky) is undeniable, and it is a shame she has not received the chance to do another starring role since then. She has, however, appeared in some other big titles, such as Big Daddy and The Break-Up.
