Brutus the bear was raised in captivity at an overcrowded wildlife preserve, and naturalist Casey Anderson saved him! Now the two of them are best chums. Brutus eats dinner at the table occasionally, and was even the best man at Casey’s wedding! This is all very sweet and heartwarming, but I just can’t help but shake the nagging feeling that this story will end with Brutus eating Casey. I mean, he’s named BRUTUS, for cryin’ out loud! Oh well, we might as well enjoy this while it lasts!
