Paul Thomas Anderson is a filmmaker who has given us some of the most powerful and interesting movies of recent memory. While he has only written and directed 5 films, each one of them is amazing in its own right. From the earlier ones, Sydney, Boogie Nights, and Magnolia (which is one of my all-time favourite films) to the more recent Punch-Drunk Love and There Will Be Blood, his work has garnered him 5 Oscar nods, though to date, he has no wins under his belt. But he has a long career ahead of him.
