Every Sunday, Gill delves into his archive of over 800 movie reviews and randomly selects three for your enjoyment! Here are this week’s…

The Invisible
An unfortunately emo ghost film. The preview made it look way more interesting. Heck, the preview ITSELF was way more interesting than this plodding, uneventful film.

Sky High
A highly underrated movie that combines the best elements of X-Men and your typical loser-at-a-new-high-school flick. Kurt Russell is particularly great as Commander Stronghold, as are Bruce Campbell, Kevin McDonald, Dave Foley and Mary-Elizabeth Winstead in their supporting roles. A fun and energetic family film. The only downside is the guinea pig puppet.

Lucky Number Slevin
I’m pretty conflicted about this movie because it is, in fact, two movies squashed together. While each movie is cool and interesting in its own way, I preferred the first half of the film vastly over the second, and having to switch gears in the middle left me unsatisfied. Still, it’s worth a watch.
