I’m sure you’re quite sick of hearing about Clint Eastwood talking to an empty chair at the Republican National Convention last week, so I think it’s time to show Clint doing something a lot more dignified… like blowing up a giant tarantula! I’ve already shown how Eastwood’s very first role in the B-movie, Revenge of the Creature, and he followed that up with another small bit part as a fighter pilot in the monster flick, Tarantula. You don’t even get to see Clint’s face because it’s covered by a mask the whole time, but he does have the honour of saving the day and blowing the tarantula to kingdom come, foreshadowing his future as one of cinema’s most iconic badasses.
