Before They Were Stars: Steve Buscemi on “The Equalizer”

While watching Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, I was pleasantly surprised to see a “Before They Were Stars” clip hidden in the film. During the scene where Rob Reiner flips out because the phone rings while he’s watching an episode of The Equalizer, you can see a clip playing in the background which features a young Steve Buscemi, who guest-starred on an episode of the show in 1987. Since the screenplay for Wolf of Wall Street was written by Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter, it’s a pretty neat easter egg.
