Guardians of the Galaxy has just opened in theaters and former World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Dave Bautista is getting some good notices for his work in the role of Drax the Destroyer, which could mean great things for his acting career. Before Bautista was called up to the main WWE roster in 2002, he wrestled in their developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling, as “Leviathan”. This is some fascinating raw footage of Leviathan competing in a “dark match”, an untelevised match which is presented exclusively for the live crowd before television tapings and provides an opportunity for up-and-coming wrestlers to hone their skills in front of a large audience. Here, Leviathan is competing against a young Nick Dinsmore, who would later find fame in WWE as the mentally challenged wrestling savant character, “Eugene”.
