This post will say a lot about the last Alien-themed game that came out. I didn’t play Aliens: Colonial Marines because the reviews were universally atrocious. It was a disappointment on a massive scale, and even though I didn’t touch the game, its stink so thoroughly permeated the Alien video game franchise that I’m really, really hesitant to get excited for Alien: Isolation. Even though this game looks much more true to its roots than the last one, even though it’s clearly going for a survival horror theme more than an action theme…I’m still very wary. Don’t let me down, Sega.
