It’s always a joy to uncover the short films Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell made together before The Evil Dead. In 1980, Raimi decided to direct a 17-minute screwball comedy called The Blind Waiter, featuring the wacky antics of Bruce Campbell as… you guessed it, a blind waiter! Raimi also makes an acting appearance in this, along with his longtime collaborators, Scott Spiegel and Robert Tapert. You know, I wouldn’t be averse to a Hollywood remake of this, as who wouldn’t want to watch 90 minutes of a blind Bruce Campbell tripping all over himself in a restaurant?
