No sooner did a short teaser for the new season of The X-Files drop yesterday, than a full two-minute trailer dropped as well! So here it is, another sneak peek at the upcoming X-Files revival, and holy shit, they’re finally following up on their longest-running plotline. To put this into perspective, when the first movie, The X-Files: Fight the Future, was announced back in the 90’s, there was a lot of speculation that its plot would centre on the aliens finally invading. And then after Fight the Future, there was a bunch of talk about doing another movie with the invasion plotline, to cap off the series. But that never happened. And now, over a decade after the show ended…we’re finally getting it. The big finale. And the Cigarette Smoking Man is back. And so is Gibson Praise from the look of it! It’s a veritable reunion!
The X-Files returns on January 16, 2016.
