Before They Were Stars: Bill Murray Debuts “Nick the Lounge Singer” at Second City

Perhaps the most famous recurring character Bill Murray played during his tenure on Saturday Night Live was “Nick the Lounge Singer”, best known for his iconic rendition of the Star Wars theme. Well, here’s footage of the first time Murray officially debuted “Nick the Lounge Singer”, as he croons a weather report while performing for the improv sketch comedy group, Second City, during the mid-1970s.
