Before They Were Stars: 13-Year Old Brie Larson in the Unaired “Hope & Faith” Pilot

Brie Larson seems like a heavy favourite to win an Academy Award this year for her acclaimed performance in Room, but a lot of people may not know that she has been acting non-stop since childhood. One of her most unfortunate experiences came at age 13 when she joined the cast of the sitcom, Hope & Faith, which aired on ABC for three seasons. Alas, after the pilot episode was shot, a decision was made to replace every single cast member aside from the two stars, Faith Ford and Kelly Ripa. Larson was subsequently fired and the entire pilot was re-shot, but this promo for the unaired pilot featuring footage of her still exists.
