If you follow this website at all, then you already know my opinions on the upcoming Warcraft movie: it’s going to suck big time. But at this point in the marketing, which has been going on for what seems like an eternity at this point, I’m no longer surprised at how this movie looks like a big-budget version of Xena: Warrior Princess, and my sneering disdain for it has been replaced by curiosity. Not curiosity about whether or not the movie will be good after all, but curiosity about how well this will do. Do fans of the Warcraft franchise really want one long video game cut scene without any of the parts where you play the video game? We’ll find out soon enough, I guess.
