Before They Were Stars: 5-Year Old Sarah Michelle Gellar in “An Invasion of Privacy”

Sarah Michelle Gellar has been working as an actress since childhood, becoming a frequent commercial spokesgirl for Burger King in the early 1980s and subsequently getting sued by McDonald’s for badmouthing them in one of the ads (seriously!). Her first big break came at age five when she was cast in a 1983 made-for-TV movie called An Invasion of Privacy. Apparently, while auditioning, Sarah was able to memorize and recite both her lines and the lines of the lead actress, Valerie Harper, and this impressed the filmmakers so much that they cast her in the role.
