Ron Gilbert is going full 90’s with his latest crowdfunded game Thimbleweed Park, mashing up the nostalgically beloved SCUMM style of point-and-click adventure game with, well, The X-Files. I mean, this is really obviously The X-Files, except it looks like the Scully character is the true believer this time around. Oh, and the Mulder surrogate is named Reyes…you know, like that other FBI agent in The X-Files, Monica Reyes. Anyway, I love SCUMM games, I love me some classic Ron Gilbert, and I love The X-Files. So you can bet I’ll play this.
Thimbleweed Park comes out sometime in 2016.
