Before They Were Stars: Neill Blomkamp Directs “Tempbot”

Chappie turned out to be a pretty bad flop last year for Neill Blomkamp, but do you think the film would have turned out better if it was more like… Office Space?! Well, it turns that out that in 2006, Blomkamp made an Office Space-style satire called Tempbot, a 14-minute short film about an office hiring a robot to temp for them and the android featured here is quite an obvious prototype for Chappie. Oh, and television’s original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, also pops up in a random role!
