Before They Were Stars: Patrick Stewart Discusses Playing Shakespeare in 1979

Two days ago, we did a Shouts From the Back Row podcast on the career of the one and only Patrick Stewart. In 1979, Stewart was developing a solid career as a stage actor in his native Britain, but was still unknown to North American audiences. By this point, Stewart had already acted in a plethora of Shakespeare productions and in this television interview, the bearded actor discusses playing the challenges of playing the character of Enobarbus in Antony and Cleopatra. You even get to see some footage of him as Enobarbus in one of the productions.
