Bones has a point. Do we really want to go for another ride with this branch of the Star Trek franchise after Star Trek Into Darkness left audiences completely underwhelmed? Well, the first trailer for Star Trek Beyond made it look pretty bad, but this second trailer is trying it darnedest to make us forget the Beastie Boys soundtrack and overall goofiness. This one’s trying to be serious, but no matter how they cut it, this installment of the series still looks a bit cheap to me. A little too much Insurrection, if you get my meaning. But I can’t really tell at this point. I’m not invested enough in Star Trek. Will this be the final film before another reboot?
