I guess home invasion movies about people lacking one of their senses are in right now? First Hush gave us a cat-and-mouse thriller about a deaf woman being stalked in a remote cabin. Now we have a cat-and-mouse thriller about a crazy blind man who is stalking three – make that two – intruders. I can’t quite decide if this looks stupid or fun. Hush was a pleasant surprise, to be sure, but can Don’t Breathe deliver the same thrills? And will that nightvision-in-a-basement sequence work when no one in the scene is wearing nightvision goggles?
