Two days ago, I wrote about Chris Columbus, who wrote The Goonies. Today, I have the guy who played one of the Fratelli brothers in the same movie. Joe Pantoliano has been in a LOT of movies. Some of them have been great (The Matrix) and some of them have been complete garbage (The Adventures of Pluto Nash). I love the guy. He has such a great screen presence, such a great nasally voice, and perfect comedic timing. I love him in Bad Boys 1 & 2 as the police captain. I love him in Memento as the “best friend”. I love him in The Fugitive and U.S. Marshals as one of the marshals. But nothing can beat his role as Cypher in The Matrix. Why, oh why, didn’t I take the blue pill?
