A big kudos to Gill for sending this my way, as it showcases Don Cheadle, when he was still a struggling young actor, working as a background dancer in a very cheesy 1989 R&B music video. The video in question is for Angela Winbush’ s single, “It’s the Real Thing”. I have to confess I had no idea who Angela Winbush was before I saw this, but apparently, she was a fairly popular and influential R&B singer in the eighties and early nineties. However, this is definitely the rare music video where one of the background dancers wound up achieving greater fame than the artist. I should also mention that Mr. Cheadle literally looks exactly the same 22 years later!
