Richard Donner is a film director who started his career directing various television shows, such as “The Twilight Zone”, “Gilligan’s Island”, and “Perry Mason”. But fast forward to today, and he is responsible for such classis film titles as The Omen, Superman, The Goonies, the Lethal Weapon quadrilogy, Scrooged, Maverick, and Conspiracy Theory. He has really slowed down in recent years, not having directed anything since 16 Blocks in 2006. But the fact that he is turning 81 today could have something to do with that. He does have a project in development slated for release this year called The 28th Amendment, so we’ll have to see if he’s still on his game.
