Ach! Pixar’s getting all Scottish-like with their next film: Brave! This trailer doesn’t give us too much information as to the plot of the movie, but it definitely sets the mood – I love the design of the main character, and you just know the animators going to go nuts with the fog effects. As for the story behind the next inevitable Pixar masterpiece, here’s a summary:
Merida (Kelly Macdonal from Boardwalk Empire) is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). An unruly daughter and accomplished archer, Merida one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom.
Works for me! As an added bonus, I predict that this film will make it socially acceptable to speak with a ridiculous Scottish accent all the time. Up yer kilt!
