I haven’t seen Nicolas Winding Refn’s film Valhalla Rising yet, but I quite enjoyed his film Bronson, and now the trailer for his latest endeavour, Drive, has got me very, very interested to see what Refn’s future in filmmaking looks like. Drive stars Ryan Gosling as a stunt driver by day and wheelman by night who discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong. The support cast includes Bryan Cranston, Ron Perlman, Carey Mulligan, Christina Hendricks and Albery Brooks. Do I honestly need to say more than that? This looks like operatic action-intrigue at its finest, and I can’t wait to see it.
Drive comes out September 16, 2011.
