Before he got his own show, Conan O’Brien made his name as a highly regarded writer for such notable shows as Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons. On the odd occasion when SNL needed a background extra to pop up and deliver a line or two during a sketch, they would call upon Conan for the job, little realizing that he would eventually become more famous than most of the cast members on the show.
