Okay, this is the moment “Before They Were Stars” has been waiting for: footage of a future celebrity having to play second fiddle to Steve Urkel! Freddie Prinze Jr.’s first acting job ever was a small role on this 1995 episode of Family Matters where the characters put together a “gun drive” to encourage inner city youths to turn in their weapons. Young Freddie attends and is treated to the sight of Urkel performing a freestyle rap on a megaphone about the merits of turning over your gun. Um… they actually thought Steve Urkel rapping was going to DISCOURAGE the use of firearms?!
