This is a very unique clip in which two “Before They Were Stars” moments wind up crossing paths with each other. The cast of Martin Scorsese’s gangster classic, Goodfellas, contains no fewer than two dozen actors who would go on to appear on The Sopranos, one of which is Michael Imperioli, who had a small role in Goodfellas as Spider, the kid who gets shot in the foot by Joe Pesci. Many years later, the tables would be turned as Imperioli was cast in the role of Christopher Moltisanti on The Sopranos, and got to play out his own scene where he shot a disrespectful young bakery employee in the foot! What’s funny is that the employee in this scene was played by a then-unknown Brian Geraghty, who went on to appear in such prominent films as Jarhead, We Are Marshall and recently had the major role of Sgt. Eldridge in The Hurt Locker. And if this clip doesn’t make your head spin enough, it’s also worth noting that the bakery customer in that scene is played by Joseph R. Gannascoli, who would later be recast on The Sopranos in the much larger role of closet gay mobster Vito Spatafore!
