I think Gill summed it up perfectly in today’s Celebrity Birthday of the Day on Ralph Macchio: “He turns 50 today, and in doing so has made me feel really, really old”. Yes, the Karate Kid is most definitely not a kid any more even though he really doesn’t look that much older than he did back in 1984. For further proof that Ralph Macchio never ages, here’s a Bubble Yum commercial he did back when he was only 17 where he still looks pretty much the same. As a bonus, this clip also features a few other commercials from the same time period. As an interesting note of trivia, the boy in the thermos commercial is Andre Gower, who would go on to play the lead role in The Monster Squad.
