Robert David Hall lost his legs in a car accident in 1978, but that didn’t keep him from pursuing a career in show business! Hall is best known for playing Dr. Al Robbins on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation – a role that was originally planned for one episode, but was made permanent and even earned Hall billing in the opening credits over the course of the series. Besides his work on CSI, Hall has also played roles on the TV shows L.A. Law, The West Wing, and Beverly Hills 90210, as well as in films such as Starship Troopers and The Negotiator. What’s more, Hall is an accomplished piano, guitar and mandolin player, and has released an album called Things They Don’t Teach You In School. He turns 64 today.
