I’ve got quite “Six Degrees of Separation” thing going on right now, as we just did a Shouts from the Back Row podcast about James Bond, a “Before They Were Stars” feature on Pierce Brosnan, and now here’s one on an actor who had a very small role in one of Brosnan’s Bond films before becoming quite a big action star himself: Gerard Butler. In Tomorrow Never Dies, Butler made his second career acting appearance as a crewman on a Navy warship, a role that gave him one line of dialogue and 22 seconds of screen time. He is credited as “Leading Seaman” and… I know it’s an official naval rank, but… must… not… make… dirty joke…
