I’ve got a Community-themed “Before They Were Stars” going on right now as I’ve already done features on Joel McHale, Chevy Chase and Alison Brie, and now it’s Ken Jeong’s turn. Ken spent the early part of his life studying to become a physician until he decided to break into stand-up comedy in the mid-nineties. This is some very rare handheld footage of him performing stand-up in Los Angeles in 1998 that was shot on a video camera by someone in the audience. And it’s a good thing this audience didn’t discourage Ken from continuing his career because they barely react to anything, except for this one person who laughs REALLY loudly at the parts that aren’t even jokes.
