It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 16 months since I started doing “Before They Were Stars” features on The Back Row and while I’ve done hundreds of these postings, my very first one still remains one of my most popular: Matthew McConaughey’s acting debut in a re-enactment on Unsolved Mysteries. Of course, it would be McConaughey’s famous role in Dazed & Confused that jumpstarted his career one year later, but in between, he appeared as the title character in this music video for Trisha Yearwood’s hit country single, “Walkaway Joe”.
