Born in Melbourne, Australia, Jesse Spencer comes from a family steeped in the medical profession – his three siblings are an oculo-plastic surgeon, an orthopaedic registrar, and an anaesthetic registrar. What’s interesting about this is that Jesse, the one sibling who didn’t go into the medical profession, would go on to star as a doctor on the awesome medical drama House! Early in his career, Spencer starred in the UK soap opera Neighbours, playing the role of Billy Kennedy for six years. His role on House as Dr. Robert Chase is definitely his most famous role from television, however Spender has also played notable roles in the films Lorna Doone, Uptown Girls, Tell-Tale, and The Girl Is in Trouble. He turns 33 today.
