Even though Simon Pegg has found success in Hollywood, he has yet to do what most British actors inevitably do once they’ve crossed over: play a role that requires them to speak with an American accent. Or… has he? Believe it or not, Simon actually had himself a small role as an American solider in two episodes of the acclaimed World War II mini-series, Band of Brothers. Most of his role required him to be nothing more than a background player in several scenes, but he was required to speak a few lines of dialogue in an American accent. So here we’ve got a case of a British actor played an American on an American mini-series which was filmed and took place in Britain.
