It’s a bit bizarre writing a bio for Saorsie Ronan, since she really hasn’t been acting very long, and yet somehow she’s a Hollywood A-lister! Saorsie (pronounced “Searsha”) made her screen debut on an Irish primetime medical drama The Clinic and a mini-series called Proof. When she was twelve, she was cast in Atonement, and would go on to be nominated for an Academy Award for her performance. The following year, she starred in the film adaptation of City of Ember, and in 2009 she starred in Peter Jackson’s adaptation of The Lovely Bones. another film which was nominated for an Academy Award (for Best Supporting Actor, mind you). In 2010, Saorsie played a secondary role in The Way Back, and provided the UK dub voice for the main character in The Secret World of Arrietty. In 2011, Saorsie Ronan starred as the girl assassin Hanna in the film of the same name, and boy did she kick a lot of ass. It’s really remarkable that she has become so famous in so little time. She turns 18 today!
