Celebrity Birthday of the Day – May 4

Thanks to Will Arnett’s role on Arrested Development, whenever I look at a picture of him, the song The Final Countdown by Europe starts playing. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Arnett’s first acting role was in the Felicity Huffman film Erie. He followed it up with small roles on the TV series Sex and the City, Boston Public, The Sopranos, and Law & Order: SVU, before landing the role of Gob Bluth in 2003. Since the success of Arrested Development, Arnett has been racking up credits in films and TV shows, having starred in Blades of Glory, Hot Rod, The Brothers Solomon, Semi-Pro, and Jonah Hex, and appeared in the TV shows The Office, 30 Rock, and most recently Up All Night. Arnett has also done loads of voice work, and you can hear his vocal talent in films such as Monsters vs. Aliens, Ratatouille, Despicable Me, the US dub of The Secret World of Arrietty, and as the announcer in the fake trailer for Don’t from Grindhouse! Will Arnett turns 42 today, and in celebration, let’s all play The Final Countdown.
