Irish actor Glenn Quinn worked a variety of odd jobs in power plants and restaurants before becoming an actor. His early work consists of commercials for Pepsi and Ray-Ban, and he appeared in the music video for Richard Marx’s Satisfied. He had small roles on Beverly Hills 90210 and The Outsiders before landing a major role in the film Shout with John Travolta and Gwyneth Paltrow. He went on to play a role in the horror film Dr. Giggles, and appeared on the TV shows Covington Cross, Roseanne, and Fair City. He also performed some video game voice work in the game Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, and The Curse of Monkey Island. But his best known role, and unfortunately his last, was as Allen Doyle on Joss Whedon’s Angel. In December of 2002, Quinn was found dead of a heroin overdose. He was 32.
