Iain Glen is a hell of a chameleon, because he’s been in a bunch of stuff that I’ve seen and I had no idea until just now when I researched him to write his Celebrity Birthday entry. Glen’s on-screen acting career began in 1986 with a role on the TV series Taggart and The Fear. In 1988 he appeared in the films Gorillas in the Mist and Paris By Night, and since then he has appeared in over sixty films and television shows, including Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, The Young Americans, Beautiful Creatures, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Resident Evil: Extinction, Kingdom of Heaven, The Last Legion, Man to Man, Harry Brown, Pope Joan, The Iron Lady, City of Vice, The Diary of Anne Frank, Law & Order: UK, Masterpiece Theatre, Doctor Who, Downton Abbey, Spooks, Prisoners Wives, and Game of Thrones. Iain Glen turns 51 today.
