In feudal China, a blacksmith who makes weapons for a small village is put in the position where he must defend himself and his fellow villagers.
The Man with the Iron Fists is the directorial debut of musician/music producer RZA, and stars Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu, among others. Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth are both involved, and the trailer features plenty of action. So why am I not immediately impressed? Well, I feel like I’ve seen this film before – with movies like The Butcher, The Chef and The Swordsman and True Legend coming to mind immediately. The plot looks kind of like a The Quick and the Dead affair, with lots of fighters competing to be the last man standing, which could be cool, but some of these special effects seem like a bit much to me. I’ll probably see it, but I don’t find myself getting too excited over this trailer. What do you think?
The Man with the Iron Fists comes out sometime in 2012 (and in Sweden in 2013)!
