It goes without saying that Dazed and Confused deserves its own “Before They Were Stars” spotlight since it jump-started the careers of so many famous actors, including Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Milla Jovovich and Parker Posey. However, you could watch Dazed and Confused several times without even noticing one of the most famous future stars in the film, who hangs around as a background extra in several scenes. However, because she didn’t have any lines of dialogue, her role was uncredited. I’m sure you all remember Matthew McConaughey’s famous “high school girls” speech, but keep your eye on the girl in the striped tank top who passes by him during this scene. That’s none other than Renee Zellweger! Ironically, McConaughey and Zellweger would team up one year later to star in a movie that I’m sure they’d both rather forget: Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation!
