I recently did a Celebrity Birthday of the Day profile on Keith Carradine, who is a member of a large family of actors with a legacy lasting through two generations. Well, today’s birthday girl Rosanna Arquette also comes from a family of actors, as she the grand-daughter of comedian Cliff Arquette, the daughter of actress Brenda Olivia “Mardi” and actor/director Lewis Arquette, and the sibling of actors Patricia, David, Richmond and Alexis Arquette. Before pursuing a career in acting, Rosanna Arquette lived in a commune, hitchhiked across the USA, and worked at Renaissance fairs! She began acting professionally in the 1977 TV movie Having Babies II, and since then she has accumulated over 100 acting credits in film and television, with notable roles in such TV shows as Shirley, Homicide: Life on the Street, The Practice, Malcolm in the Middle, Grey’s Anatomy, and The L-Word, and in films including Flight of the Intruder, Silverado, After Hours, Crash, Growing Op, Joe Dirt, and The Whole Nine Yards. Though I think her most memorable roles were definitely in Desperately Seeking Susan and Pulp Fiction. Rosanna Arquette turns 53 today.
