I was shocked, SHOCKED, at how few acting credits Chris Tucker has on his resume! He has such a larger-than-life on-screen persona and such a memorable voice that I was sure he had been in more films! At the time of this writing, Chris Tucker only has thirteen acting credits to his name – hard to believe, isn’t it? Tucker began to pursue a career in comedy and acting following his graduation from Columbia University. His first credited role was in House Party 3 in 1994, and he gained a lot of attention for his role the following year in Friday with Ice Cube. In 1995, Tucker also had a part in Dead Presidents, and in 1997 appeared in Money Talks, Jackie Brown and The Fifth Element, the latter of which is probably my favourite Chris Tucker role.
Since 1998, Tucker has appeared exclusively in the Rush Hour trilogy of films, and this year he’s set to appear in a film called Silver Linings Playbook. Do you understand the words that are comin’ outta my mouth? Chris Tucker turns 41 today.
