UPDATE: From Rob Corddry’s Twitter on October 18, 2012:
“There’s proud, and then there’s so uncomfortable that you’re somehow proud. http://www.the-back-row.com/index.php/2012/10/12/before-they-were-stars-rob-corddry-in-a-conan-o-brien-sketch…“
Many thanks for the plug, Mr. Corddry!
I recently did a “Before They Were Stars” feature on Amy Poehler, who used to play the recurring character of Andy Richter’s “sister” during sketches on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Poehler used to perform in an improv group called the Upright Citizens Brigade and its members would often be called on to appear in Conan sketches. Another famous comedic figure who started off in the Upright Citizens Brigade was Rob Corddry and he also got to make appearances in the odd sketch, including this one, where he appears in a Speedo, suspenders and beret as one of the “New York Times Dancers”.
