Tom Hulce began his acting career on the stage after studying at the Interlochen Arts Academy, making his film debut in the movie September 30, 1955. His next film, Animal House, proved to be a hit, and shortly thereafter Hulce appeared in three episodes of the TV series St. Elsewhere. In 1984, he portrayed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the movie Amadeus, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor but lost to his co-star F. Murray Abraham. Other notable films featuring Tom Hulce include Parenthood, Fearless, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Stranger Than Fiction, and Jumper.
