The quirky and unusual Kristen Schaal began her career doing live comedy in the early 2000s, and in 2006 she was invited to perform at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival, where she won the award for Best Alternative Comedian. She made the transition to film and television, with her first film role being in the movie Kate & Leopold, and gained much attention for her role on the series Flight of the Conchords. Schaal has also appeared in series such as Mad Men, Ugly Betty, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Bob’s Burgers, 30 Rock, The Simpsons, and Gravity Falls, and in movies including Norbit, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, Valentine’s Day, Shrek Forever After, Get Him to the Greek, Sleepwalk With Me, and The Muppets.
