English actor Jake Weber attended The Juilliard School’s drama division, and was in the same group as Laura Linney and Jeanne Tripplehorn. He also studied acting at Russia’s Moscow Art Theatre, and made his film debut in 1989’s Born on the Fourth of July. Over the next ten years, Weber acted in bit parts in such films as The Pelican Brief, A Stranger Among Us and Bed & Breakfast, and on TV shows including Something Wilder, NYPD Blue, and American Gothic. The late 1990s saw him taking on larger roles, and he appeared in the films Amistad, Dangerous Beauty, Pushing Tin, Meet Joe Black, U-571, and The Cell. He had a prominent part in the 2006 remake of Dawn of the Dead, and has also appeared on TV series such as Medium, House, and Elementary. Jake Weber turns 49 today.
