In 1999, an unknown Cillian Murphy starred in At Death’s Door, a 13-minute short film with a pretty neat premise. Murphy plays the son of the Grim Reaper, who’s being groomed to take over the family business, but then makes the surprising decision to save the life of someone he was supposed to kill. Even though he doesn’t have any lines of dialogue, Murphy is still able to deliver a memorable performance with his expressive face.
