English actor, comedian and writer Peter Serafinowicz has done loads of stuff over the course of his career, but there are a handful of his projects that define him in my eyes. Serafinowicz began his career on Radio 1 and Radio 4 shows before moving into television with several television movies in the late 90s, such as Jack and the Beanstalk and You Are Here. In 1999 he played Simon Pegg’s nemesis in the TV series Spaced, and the same year he also voiced Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. 2002 saw Serafinowicz co-create the TV series Look Around You, a spoof series of 1970s school quiz films. Other notable projects that Serafinowicz has been involved in include the TV series The IT Crow, The Peter Serafinowicz Show, Snake ‘n’ Bacon, and Archer, and films such as Shaun of the Dead, Couples Retreat, Run Fatboy Run, Grindhouse, and Killing Bono. He also wrote a terrific joke book called A Billion Jokes, which I totally love. Peter Serafinowicz turns 41 today.
