I must say, I was rather unimpressed with the last film Eli Roth was involved with – Aftershock. I recognize that Roth himself wasn’t involved as much behind the camera as he was in front of it, but overall the film felt pretty lackluster when compared to his other projects like Hostel. I also recognize that he’s trying to pull a Cannibal Holocaust with his latest effort The Green Inferno, which is bound to offend anyone who likes their movies politically correct. It could be absolutely abysmal, but what the heck, I’ll give it a shot. Maybe a red band trailer will do a better job of convincing me.
The Green Inferno comes out September 5, 2014.
