We’re living in a golden age for indie gaming, as between services like Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter, and just the vast internet in general, developers are free to try out weird and unique ideas for games. And here’s a doozy of a weird one. Mushroom 11 was born out of a gamejam and plays with the idea of destroying your character to move forward in the game. In Mushroom 11, players control a squishy blob trying to navigate an alien planet by removing cells from its body. Remove cells from one side of the blob and they reappear on the other side, causing the blob to roll. This is just too strange for words, so needless to say, I can’t wait to try it out.
